Funded by the European Commission and focusing on ERA - European Research Area, the event aims at enhancing the international career prospects of graduate students and young researchers studying in Hungary in various fields (Social Sciences and Humanities, STEM) of higher education, public and non-public research institutes and doctoral student associations. Program included: an International Research Fair with 20+ local and European research organizations offering vacancies and funding opportunities (National Bank of Slovakia, DAAD Germany, CERN Switzerland, and many more) | CV clinics with careers advisors and HR professionals | panel discussions about careers in research with representatives of CEU alumni community, Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) and European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) | information sessions about the EURAXESS portal, offering career resources and personalized tools to help researchers’ mobility | various workshops on applying for funding, presenting the research and also on horizontal issues (international cooperation, regional aspects, ethics, intellectual property and gender).
EURAXESS - Researchers in Motion is a unique pan-European initiative that supports researchers’ mobility and career development, while enhancing scientific collaboration between Europe and the rest of the world. All EURAXESS Services are open and free of charge. At the central EURAXESS webpage, researchers can find a wealth of constantly updated information on job vacancies, funding opportunities and fellowships throughout Europe. If they wish, posting their CV will allow recruiters to find them, while companies or research institutes can also post vacancies free of charge and search for the CVs of international top-notch researchers. Country pages contain additional, country-specific information.
EURAXESS Centres help researchers and their family to plan and organize their move to a foreign country and aid incoming researchers while settling down in a new country. This free personalized assistance helps researchers tackle issues such as accommodation, visa and work permits, language lessons, schooling, social security and medical care.

David Andolfatto is a Vice President in the Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He was a professor of economics at the University of Waterloo (1991-2000) and Simon Fraser University (2000-2009), before joining the Fed in July 2009. Dr. Andolfatto has published several articles in the profession's leading economic journals; including the American Economic Review, the Journal of Political Economy, and the Journal of Economic Theory. He has been invited as a visiting scholar to central banks around the world; including the Bank of Canada, the Bank of Japan, La Banca de la Republica (Colombia), De Nederlandsche Bank, along with a number of Federal Reserve Banks. In 2009, he was awarded the prestigious Bank of Canada Fellowship Award for his contributions in the area of money, banking, and monetary policy. Dr. Andolfatto is a native of Vancouver, Canada and received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Western Ontario in 1994.
